Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year To You!

Just a quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to thank-you for all of your kind comments. This will likely be the last card I post for this year and the last set of challenges I enter.

For this card I have used the lovely "Holly" from Wee stamps she was so much fun to colour. I have used some BoBunny DP from the 6x6 paper pad called Silver & Gold thought it fit in nicely as it has holly branches all over it. I had to add some sparkle to it so I added red Stickles berries to it and edged it with Platinum Stickles.

Some DooHickey Poinsettia flowers in the corner and a few snowflakes to top it all off and voila my final card of the year.

I'm entering it in Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #301 Anything Goes

and MMagnolialicious Month Long Challenge

Nothing Warms You Up Like a Cup Of Tea and Friends

Its "Anything Goes" At Simon Says Wednesday Weekly Challenge this week. Perfect place to put the only non Christmas project that I've worked on lately. This idea was just to cute not to try.

I've used a teacup template that you can find here at Paperlicious Designs and a Stampavie stamp that I've had for a while but never inked, it was the perfect size to add to this cup. I've tried to decorate the cup as detailed and delicately as a real china cup and really like the way this turned out.

If you want more inspiration check out Sandra's scrap blog as she came up with a wonderful design as well.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge-November "Sparklers"

Today I have a card to post for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for November with the theme "sparklers". Try as I might I could not get my camera to actually pick up the sparkle on this one, but the tree, snow and bells are all glittered up and sparkly in real life.

As the image was so large on this one I've kept it really simple. It will also be a lot easier to send in the post this way. I have to remember to do a few more this way! He he its hard though.

That's it for today, Hope everyone has a great week.

Vintage Tilda on 3D Star

Today I thought I'd show you a DT prodject I did this weekend for Tara at Forget Me Not Scrapbooking to show off Vintage Tilda. It's also my entry for this weeks MDUC Challenge #223 Jinglebells and this weeks Simply Magnolia Challenge-Over the Edge. I've been waiting to try one of these 3 D Stars for a while and thought since all I seem to do for the store is cards that this would be a nice change. So I searched around the net to find a template and found one at Sandra's Scrap Shop, but I did not have Paypal so I found one here 3D Star Template. There's also rumours that it might be in the Christmas issue of Magnolia Ink, but as I havn't got mine yet I'm not sure.

I printed two templates, shaped them both and glued them back to back so that the star is truly 3D. Then I've added Patterned paper cut just a little bit smaller to decorate the star.

I've used a doilly die cut glued to the middle of the star as a base to attach my sentiment and Tilda to.

Then I went a little crazy with the embellishments. Some Fabric Stars from a star ribbon, jingle bells, DooHickey Poinsettias, Swirls, string pearl sprays, ribbon and leaves.Oh I almost forgot I've added paper glaze to the bobble ornament, too.

I've inked the edges of the star with distress ink and added Stickles here and there to add some shine.

Thanks for popping by make sure you check out the amazing creations that both design teams made as well as the other entries.

Paper take Weekly November 5/13-Anything Goes Sponsored By LOTV

Thought I'd share a card today that I made for the Papertake Weekly Challenge "Anything Goes" and since the sponsor this week is LOTV its only fitting that I would use one of their stamps to create the card.

I've used a Freebie template from Sandra's Scrap Sels she also has an amazing shop so you can purchase many more amazing card Templates.

I love this image its cute and it colours up super fast. I've kept it pretty simple so that it will be easy to mail. Just some BoBunny snow fall paper, simple circles, a DooHickey swirl Die, ribbon and some Martha Stewart punch snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Meet Rowen The Beautiful Winter Fairy

For this card I chose the cutest little winter fairy stamp you could possibly find. Its Rowen from Wee Stamps for whimsey stamps paired with a Sentiment from Whimsey's Sentiment collection called Holiday Cheer. Both images were perfect for this card. I had so much fun colouring this up and putting it together. This is truly a multi-purpose card it is my DT Card for Forget Me Not Scrapbooking this month.

It also fits in with the following Challenges:

*Christmas Card Challenges-Challenge#49 Dimension

*CCT-Challenge #293-Sparkles

*Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes

*Magnolia-licious-tuesday Challenge Anything Goes

Here is a close up view to show the dimension as I've fussy cut around Rowen and popped her up as will as used some Spellbinders layered Poinsettias.

Another view of the sentiment. It is my favorite from this set.

One last view after I added three more tiny snowflakes to add a touch of white mixed in with the flowers to brighten up this corner.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the DT blogs to check ou all their hard work and inspiration!

Heidi, Visiting Her Feathered Friends

This weeks Challenge over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is Anything Goes what could be better than that!
I've been a little heavy on the Magnolia lately so I thought I would change it up and use Heidi a Wee Stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

So here is Heidi out visiting her feathered friends and perhaps bringing them a little gift of Bird Seed on this snowy day. Went a little crazy with the Poinsettias on this one they're from a set of dies from Spellbinders called Layered Poinsettia, the twigs are from a Martha Stewart Punch. The DP is from last years BoBunny Powder Mountain Paper Pad, love these papers! I've coloured her with Copics and fussy cut around her so I could add her to the scene on the paper and topped it off by adding antique pearls.

Thanks for stopping by make sure you visit Simon Says to check out the DT creations or perhaps do a little shopping.

Snowflakes Are Softy Falling...

Magnolia Cottage is decorated for the holidays. Snowflakes are softly falling as Tilda stops by with a little surprise. The day is chilly but the fire is warm and welcoming. I'm sure Tilda will want to stay awhile and enjoy hot chocolate and a sugar cookie or two. This was the scene that came to mind as I started to create this card for Lovely Hangler or Sweet Magnolia Challenge #81 Sparkle. Boy does this card sparkle although it was as always hard to capture on camera.

I've used The snowy roof stamp, welcome to sweet christmas door stamp and a cute Tilda with present Stamp to create this cute cottage. The card body is step card with the center popped back and the sides popped forward to create a cozy front porch and I attached the roof to the side pieces so that it over hangs it.

I paper pieced Tilda's outfit and coloured her with Copics.

Here is another picture brighter light. I've decorated the cottage with holly garland, some resin ponsettias, Magnolia DooHickey Dies(vintage leaf and Poinsettia)and some Martha Stewart Snowflakes. To make the wooden boards on the cabin wall I used DP by Kaiser Craft's Base Coat Collection Called Shabby Chic. The final touch was to add a bit of Stickles and a whole lot of Twinklets Diamond Dust to the snowy portions.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my little story.

Tilda and Wiola out for an Autumn Walk

This week Ying's choice for Challenge #220 MDUC challenge was to use the theme Autumn Vintage. I struggled with this a bit before I decided to use the vintage feel of this theme and the colour pallet.
So, here is Tilda and Wiola out for a nice fall walk to pick up a few last blooms before winter sets in.

I used lots of distressing to get a vintage feel and chose browns, golds and dusky roses to fit in with the pallet.

Now go over and check out the DT's wonderful inspiration.

Tilda's Town Challenge #76 Bling

Today I have a card I made for Tilda's Town Challenge #76 "Bling". The background is a little more more shabby than I'd planned but on the plus side it really makes Tilda pop. The papers are Cosmo Cricket from a few Christmas seasons ago. Trying to keep the promise to use more of my stash.

I wish the camera had picked up more of the bling and sparkle as "live" this card really does shine.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, be sure to check out what the DT did this week as there are some really neat creations to see.

Autumn Tilda With Broom

I Loved the card I made for my Daughter so much that I just had to make another for my Mom. Of coarse I had to change it up just a little bit so the paper is a bit different and I chose Autumn Tilda With Broom for this one.

I'm entering this one in this one in the Marvelous Magnolia Challenge #49 which is to make a Fall or Halloween themed card. The DT Ladies have lots this week to inspire you so make sure you check out their creations!

MDUC Challenge #219 Anything Goes

The Ladies over at MDUC have out done themselves this week with their inspiring prodjects. This is my contribution to Challenge #219 Anything Goes.

Its another card for the Birthday Box! Its been way to empty for far to long so I've been working on topping it up with a whole year of birthdays coming soon and Christmas Card season on the way I don't have much time!

I seem to be playing with different shapes lately and this one is no exception. I love this little Tilda holding tulips and thought this Magnolia paper and the roses would add a girlie touch. I also added Stickles and lots of Liquid Pearls and topped it off with ribbon and lace.

Thanks for stopping by

Time For Magnolia Challenge#31 Fall or Halloween

Here is a card a made for my daughter for Thanksgiving here in Canada and it fits in with Challenge #31 at Time for Magnolia. This card was really fun to put together and I loved colouring Tilda's overalls the orange just screams fall.

This is Tilda with Daisies & Mushrooms from fall 2012, I've coloured her with copics and added Wild Orchid roses and some DooHickey Die swirls. The circles are Stampin Up which I've dressed up by punching holes in the scalloped edge. Thanks for popping by hope you visit the challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations the DT made to inspire us.

Tilda With A Cute Little Lamb

Okay so I know that this is Tilda with a little Lamb. However when I started to colour it I just kept thinking it looked like our Golden Retriever puppy "Bella", so thats how I coloured it.

The paper I used for this card is Lost and Found Christmas by My Minds Eye. Tilda is paper pieced. The Poinsettias are a Spellbinder Die set. I also used a Doo Hickey Die and the sentiment is Penny Black.

I'm entering this card in the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #218 Christmas in October.

Make sure you have a look at the DT creations as well as the other entries. Spoiler alert some of the creations on the DT Blogs are starting to feature the new 2013 Winter Wonderland Collection!

Midweek Magnolias: Song Birds

I couln't resist the Song Birds Challenge at Midweek Magnolias this week. I chose the song "I Love Paris" written by Cole Porter. I think this image works just perfectly for it.

This is Tilda With Wiola from 2012 not sure what the collection was called. She has to be one of my absolute favorite stamps. The paper is from a My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad called Blush. Love these cute patterns for paper piecing.

Hope you all get a chance to pop over to the challenge blog to see the inspiring projects the DT has come up with for you this week.

I'm enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. So Happy to have a extra day off!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends,

Finally back... and a card for Tilda's Town challenge #73 Anything but a square.

So today I have a card to enter in this weeks Tilda's Town Challenge #73 Anything but square. I had so much fun making this card probably because its been sooooo long since I've been in my craft room.

I had so many ideas for this it was hard to cram them all on one card but I did it. Its a little over the top but it works and I finally got to use this yummy BoBunny paper that I fell in love with last year. Hope to get to get around to visit all your blogs, you all have so much to look at because I havn't looked around blog land in quite a while.

Have a great weekend

Hugs Tania
