Papertake Weekly Challenge "Anything Goes"

Another "Anything Goes" Challenge this week. This time a Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog. I have a couple of cards that would probably work for this challenge but I thought since the challenge this week is sponsored by Lily Of The Valley that i would use one of their images that I had coloured up.

Wow these take a lot of colouring but so worth the effort. I'm not sure it really matches the BoBunny Snowfall Paper but I love it anyway. This is the first time I've used pearls on snowflakes it really makes them soft and elegant.

I'm posting a lot this week as eeeek there's only twenty days until Christmas and I know the closer it gets the less time I'll have to blog.

There are some cute cards that the DT came up with make sure you check them out.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #245 "Snowflakes"

The Challenge for CCT this week is snowflakes so I thought I'd enter this card because I love these snowflakes covered in Twinklets with bead cap centers. This stamp from LOTV has really turned out to be one of my favorites. Its so cute and it colours up amazingly fast.

The paper is from BoBunny's Snowfall line that came out last year, but still loving it this year. Snowflakes are from Martha Stewart. I used Copics to colour it.

Hope everyone has a great week,

I don't know why I havn't used it before its so cute and really colours up fast.
I decided to keep it simple and let the image be the focus on this one. Its colored with Copics and the cardstock was embossed with a cuddle bug folder.

Hope you check out the Penny Black November Challenge

Tilda's Town Challenge #28 Anything Goes

I Love when a challenge is anything goes. So much more fun to create when there's no pressure to use certain things especially when the card was made already without them.

This cutie was inspired by the Magnolia Ink Christmas issue which featured a skate card template. It however had to be copied and enlarged to work and I was in a hurry to get started and did not have access to a copier without driving into town. So I sketched out my own template. The paper is from the Bobunny Line Powder Mountain 6x6 paper pad and is used on the skate and also paper pieced as Tilda's sweater and hat. I added the swirly from a DooHickie die and some Martha Stewart punched snoflakes The doilly on top is from Couture Creations.

This was a DT project for Forget Me Not Scrapbooking in November and i'm also entering it in The Tilda's Town Challenge #28 Anything Goes

Check out the fabulous cards everyone else made to as well as the DT.

Thanks for stopping by

Papertake Weekly Challenge Flower Power

I've been working on this easel card in little bits and pieces all week. It was one of those cards that you have to keep adding stuff to because it just doesn't feel right so it might be a tad bit over done. I don't know if it really feels right even now but I ran out of room to add anything else so its done! I've decided to enter it in the Flower Power Challenge at Papertake Weekly .

I used paper from BoBunny's Powder Mountain Line and the Stamp is from Whimsy.

This is a really nice sentiment stamp from Stampavie that I bought last year and had never used until now.

I tried a little different technique with her hair than I use on the Tilda's hair to make it look more like real hair.

Thanks for stopping by have a visit to the challenge blog and check the DT projects.

Hope you're having a great weekend

CCT Challenge# 243 Starry Starry Night

The theme this week at Cute Card Thursday is Starry Starry Night So I thought this cute little LOTV Stamp would fit the challenge. She is from last years Christmas release. The sentiment is from Penny Black and I thought it suited this image perfectly.

The paper is from Basic Grey's Wassail line, so glad I have a couple pieces left to play with once in a while. Make sure you check out the great inspiration the design team has this week as well as the other entries.

I'm having way to much fun in the craft room making Christmas Cards so there will be many more posts as it seems I finish one card and end up with a couple more ideas to try. Thanks for stopping by

Challenge#36 Walking in a Winter Wonderland At MidWeek Magnolias

I recently discovered this challenge while searching for new challenges to replace my weekly visits to the since retired Just Magnolia Challenge. The design team has some great ideas.Mid Week Magnolias Challenge this week is Walking in a Winter Wonderland. A fun challenge for me because I love making Christmas cards, it also goes well with my Forget Me Not DT project. Gotta love when you can do two things at once!

This Card features Tilda With Snowheart from last years Christmas release which I coloured with Copics and paper pieced. The tree is an amazing 3-D Die from Dee's Distictively. I found it on Forget Me Not Scrapbookings online shop and had to have it. It was so much fun and so easy to create the 3-D look.

Thats it for tonight, thanks for visiting.

May The Season Light Your Way

This was the card I came up with for a DT project for Forget Me Not Scrapbooking. It was inspired by the briefest of snowfalls we had a couple of weeks ago.For the front of the card I cut away shapes and then glued Large Martha Stewart punched snowflakes over the corner spaces and the center snowflake is cut with the Memory Box Tivoli Snowflake Die. Tilda is of coarse Mid Winter Tilda from last years Magnolia Christmas Collection. She is coloured with Copics and her clothes are paper pieced to add a little dimension(or to make for less colouring hee hee).

I love the sparkle and airiness of this card only wish the glitter showed in the pic like it does "live".

I'm Back... With a Fall Magnolia Card

Well when I decided to take a brief break from the scrap room a couple of months ago I never thought that it would last this long is it really November already. Where did the time go!

I had a busy summer which included lots of riding, a trip to Vancouver Island and of coarse work, but also no creative Mojo. A couple of weeks ago I decided to check out the long lost scrap room and made this card for Thanksgiving here in Canada! and that was all it took mojo was back!

Its taken another little while to re-discover blog land and accept some of the sad changes I've found. Like, Just Magnolia is gone, Penny Black Challenge is now only once a month and many of my favorite bloggers are on vacation as well. At first I was bummed out but then I started searching around and found some new challenge blogs and more amazing bloggers as well. I guess change is good.

I hope you enjoy this card and the rest to follow over the next couple weeks which will be mostly Christmas.

This card features Tilda with Daisy and Mushrooms and paper from Bobunny's Apple Cider Line.

Look forward to visiting your blogs

Paper Take Weekly Anything Goes/ Option of Father's Day or Boy or Man Card

Oh Wow! Just looked at the date of my last post and can't believe that so much time has flown by so quickly yikes how can the year be half over already. I 've been busy with work and horsey stuff. Havn't had much time in the craft room and I'm sure our group of scrappy girls thought that I must have dropped of the face off the earth. I did manage to go to crop night on Friday and had a wonderful time catching up with friends. Will have to really make a better effort to get out with more.

So this week the Gals over at Papertake Weekly Have a Challenge Where anything Goes With the option of doing a Father's Day or Boy/ Man Card. The Challenge fits Right in with my design team assignment for Forget Me Not Scrapbooking which was to create a card using this too cute Whimsy Stamp! How great is that.

The image is coloured with copics and the paper is From a My Minds Eye paper pad called Stella Rose Hatie in 6x6. I just loved colouring the dog in this one he's just so cute.

Paper Take Weekly Anything Goes With The Option of Lace

Always love the anything Goes Challenges for Paper Take Weekly. I made this card at the Spring Retreat Crazy croppers held in Salmon Arm on the weekend. I had planned to only colour some images to have on hand but when I found this paper I knew I had to make this card up that I'd been toying with for a while.

I added tiny pearls for the necklaces and a bit of glitter to make them pop.The awning is 3D thanks to some folded 1/2 circles glued together. It folds flat to go in the envelope.

Have a great week

Just Magnolia #152 Lovely Lace

This is my Dt Card for Forget Me Not Scrapbooking which just so happens to fit in with this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge #152 Lovely Lace. Love it when that happens! The body of this card was Cut out with the Cricut and I've added Liquid Pearls to give it a little dimension. Purple Flowers are Wild Orchid. Some Lace and a Doily top it off. The cream flowers I made using organza and pearls which was fun. I'm always looking for cheap ways to add flowers.

Hope everyone is enjoying Spring I am and have been busy doing yard work and horsey things. Thus the lack of crafty projects.

BoBunny Country Garden Layouts DT Layout For Forget Me not Scrapbooking

As part of my DT duties I'm required to create a couple of layouts a month. Not hard to do with all of the yummy new paper collections Tara is bringing in. My favorites so far have to be the new BoBunny lines. For this layout I chose the Country Garden line which features old print, butterflies and soft greens yellows pinks and blues.

I wanted to try something a little different so I used a MS punch around the page to give it a delicate soft edge. I then used lots of distressed and inked edges and what layout would be complete without a little glitter.

I cut out some of the butterflies part way to slide my photo mats under which added a little dimension.

I made the flowers using the Donna Salizar Rose creations from Spellbinders and some leaves from a different set called Foliage. A little bling and it seemed complete!

CCT#206 Signs of Spring Meets Magnolia Monthly Challenge #146

Hi, everyone I can't believe its been so long since my last post. Where does the time go! Can it really be March already and with daylight savings time starting this coming Sunday there's another hour gone. Well although I havn't been doing much in blog land for a while I've been quite busy in the craft room, just not with cards. I've finally got back into scrapbook mode and its always a challenge for me to switch back and forth between layouts and cards (don't know why they share the same supplies). I've also started a new adventure as part of the wonderful DT at Forget Me Not Scrapbooking which will involve both cards and Layouts.

This is My second card as part of the team and as a bonus it fits nicely into two challenges CCT#206 Signs Of Spring and Just Magnolia Challenge #146 anything goes plus the option of stitching. Hope you have time to check out both fabulous challenges and maybe try for the great prizes offered.

Thanks for stopping by your visits and comments always make my day!

Just Magnolia Week 139-Sketch Challenge

For my card for this weeks Just Magnolia- Sketch Challenge I have chosen some cheery springy paper perhaps in an attempt warm up as we are at the start of some pretty cold weather which is expected to last all week.I'm not sure which collection this Tilda is from but she reminds me that spring will come eventually. I've paired her with a papers from the Pretty Please Spring Paper pad from My Minds Eye and added a few Wild Orchid roses. The butterflies ad the perfect lively touch.

Make sure you pop over to the Magnolia blog to check out what the design team came up with and have some fun with the sketch this week.

Keep warm and have a great week.

Papertake Weekly Challenge " Die Cute"

I've had the idea to make this card in my head since last year, but never really could figure out how to make it happen. I thought I had it figured out last December so I coloured the image but then my idea didn't really translate into what I wanted. Then at Christmas my lovely friend Jean gave me a Christmas card where the center popped forward and bingo today I had a light bulb moment and decided to reverse the pattern so that the middle popped back.

After I had the card cut the rest came together just the way I wanted with the tule edges and the die cut swirls peaking over the edges and white and pale pink flowers tucked in to highlight the image.

Sorry the picture isn't that great, I guess in my hurry to get a picture before the sun disappeared I didn't quite get it focused, but I did get it to show the glitter which is rare.

I'm entering it in the Papertake weekly Challenge -Die Cute. Check it out and join in, its easy to add a die cut to your card.

Hope your weekend was a good one!

Just Magnolia Week #138

So its that time again over at Just Magnolia for their special monthly challenge as always anything goes. This time they have added the option of using something new or making a New Years card I chose to use some new flowers I bought at crop night last night.

I tried taking several pictures of this card to show the 3D layers it has as it steps back, but none really show this. I've used stamps from the fairy Tale collection. Still my favorite to make Girls B-Day cards. This one is for my Niece who turns 2 tomorrow
so I wanted it to be fairytale inspired with lots of glitter and the look of a pop-up book from the front.

I love how it turned out and will be making more, but man do they take at alot of colouring.

Thanks for stopping by hope everyone's New Year is off to a good start.Make sure you check out what the DT did this week as there are some really neat cards.
