First Christmas Card of the Year

Well its that time of year again. Time to start work on the Christmas cards that will be kitted for retreats and crazy cropper events. This is the first of what will be many many more probably mostly Penny Black cards. Who could resist with all the new releases they've come up with for this year, certainly not me (Sorry I'm hopelessly addicted). This is also a magic card I swear the day I started work on it the weather started to cool off a nice change from our 37C weather of the last few weeks. A Little something new that I've had the paper for forever but didn't have the whole idea for until this morning. I can't believe that summer is half over already, I've had a great long weekend With my brother coming for a visit so we went to the beach yesterday, was so much cooler there. con"grad"ulations

Sorry for not posting lately have been so busy lately. First with grad, then the mini horse show, collage stuff to organize with Ashley, Then getting everybody ofF to there respective summer activities. Now its tons of yard stuff and fair entries. Hard to fit a little creative time in.

Is it just me or is it harder to create cards for men? Everytime I make one it just never seems complete. I liked the layout of the red card I posted last week so much that I thought that I would try it again with a different colour combo. This is also the card I made some kits of to give to my bestest scrap buds at the retreat, I hope that you had fun making them girls...Thanks for stopping by-Tania

A Beary Cute PB B-Day card!

First off I have to say I just had the most wonderful time at the Crazy Croppers retreat weekend at Green Bay in Westbank it was definately a great "girls" weekend away and the food was fabulous. Time spend on the beach with the summer weather made it just like a resort stay. So sad that its all over though.

Had to Play with another new Penny Black set this one is called Teddy and company. The patterned paper for this is from Cosmo Cricket called Honey Pie: Ella. I created the sky and ground background using a recent tutorial on split coast stampers I however did not have the non stick craft sheet so I just used a piece of acetate and I used glossy card stock instead of regular cardstock. I just took a green ink pad(certainly celery) and a blue ink pad (soft sky) and swiped them onto the acetate then spritzed on water and placed the glossy Card glossy side down onto the mixture. I then repeated this about three times to get the effect making sure the cardstock dried in between.

The images are coloured with water colour pencils and the bear is popped up with foam tape. Thanks for stopping by.-Tania

Oh it's so true it really is friends that keep you hanging in there. I just had to try this new stanp and really like how the sentiment, paper and stamp all work together.
