Just Magnolia Week 139-Sketch Challenge

For my card for this weeks Just Magnolia- Sketch Challenge I have chosen some cheery springy paper perhaps in an attempt warm up as we are at the start of some pretty cold weather which is expected to last all week.I'm not sure which collection this Tilda is from but she reminds me that spring will come eventually. I've paired her with a papers from the Pretty Please Spring Paper pad from My Minds Eye and added a few Wild Orchid roses. The butterflies ad the perfect lively touch.

Papertake Weekly Challenge " Die Cute"

I've had the idea to make this card in my head since last year, but never really could figure out how to make it happen. I thought I had it figured out last December so I coloured the image but then my idea didn't really translate into what I wanted. Then at Christmas my lovely friend Jean gave me a Christmas card where the center popped forward and bingo today I had a light bulb moment and decided to reverse the pattern so that the middle popped back.

After I had the card cut the rest came together just the way I wanted with the tule edges and the die cut swirls peaking over the edges and white and pale pink flowers tucked in to highlight the image.

Sorry the picture isn't that great, I guess in my hurry to get a picture before the sun disappeared I didn't quite get it focused, but I did get it to show the glitter which is rare.

I'm entering it in the Papertake weekly Challenge -Die Cute. Check it out and join in, its easy to add a die cut to your card.

Just Magnolia Week #138

So its that time again over at Just Magnolia for their special monthly challenge as always anything goes. This time they have added the option of using something new or making a New Years card I chose to use some new flowers I bought at crop night last night.

I tried taking several pictures of this card to show the 3D layers it has as it steps back, but none really show this. I've used stamps from the fairy Tale collection. Still my favorite to make Girls B-Day cards. This one is for my Niece who turns 2 tomorrow
so I wanted it to be fairytale inspired with lots of glitter and the look of a pop-up book from the front.

I love how it turned out and will be making more, but man do they take at alot of colouring.

CCT Challenge #195 Stripes

I made this card for Patty to give to her husband she likes cutsey cards and I thought this one is about as cute as it gets. the striped paper is My Minds Eye and I've used more than a few Martha Stewart punches on it. The stamp is a Stampavie from a couple of Christmas' ago.I really wanted to do something a little different with an easel card. I used a cuddle Bug embossing folder to make the metal corners and nesties to cut out the computer generated sentiment.I'm entering this one over at Cute Card Thursday as it fits the challenge this week which was to use stripes.

This weeks challenge over at Just Magnolia is I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. I had to have a go at it as I always like a few white Christmas cards.This Tilda seemed suited perfectly for a white background.Actually I coloured her before I picked paper for another card and the colours didn't quite work together. I think I like this card better anyway LOl.The White Swirl paper is one of my favorites by SEI from a couple years ago. I kept it simple so the image would pop But of course had to add some glitter. This weeks Challenge over at Paper Takewas an easy one anything goes plus the option of something dangly. For this card I used MY Minds Eye Lost & Found Christmas papers, A magnolia stamp from last years Christmas Collection, Magnolia Die cut, Calypso Flowers and a Star charm. Of course I used a generous amount of glitter too LOl, isn't that the best part about Christmas cards?

Penny Black Heggie Gift Giving

Just a Quickie post to Celebrate that its finally Friday.I liked the papers that I used on my last card so much that I had to use them again. The layout is a little different and I used a different stamp. I havn't used this one before because I was never sure about colouring all that sky but these guys colour up so cute. Its my favorite part about most Penny Black stamps they're just way quicker to colour than my Mag's. So the closer we get to Christmas the more I'll use them to speed things up!

Paper Takes Weekly Challenge This week is a cute sketch by Dawny P. I've had this image coloured for a while and never quite figured out what to use it for. Last night I decided that I should make Hubby a Christmas card. I used papers from BuBunny's Midnight Frost Collection and a computer generated sentiment. Really I just kept it simple only adding a few punched snowflakes and a snowflake border both Martha Stewart Punches.

Magnolia Challenge: Anything Goes + The Option Of Sparkle

Had to have a go at this challenge Over at Just Magnolia & Hangler because well I love sparkle and bling. Perfect for a Christmas card. I chose this image because it reminds me of well me. I love snowmen and I'm often the first outside to start making one. Our snow has left us for the moment but I'm sure that it will be back soon so I can make my first one of the year. The stamp is from 2010 release and the paper is Heidi Grace. The snowflakes get their icy shimmer from Twinklets crushed glass. Love this stuff.The trim on hats and coat is made up of tiny pom poms from a wired pompom ribbon.

An Oldie But A Goody!

Found this card in my card box when going through my Christmas cards to see how many I had (not so many actually)but I did find this to post. I think I made it last May at a retreat and then filed it away.

She's quite the little cutie. It does remind me that spring is an awfully long way off yet though.

We just had our second snowfall of the season today. It really brought on the Christmas spirit or uh panic! How can it be that close already!

This little cutie is off to the post to mail some good cheer. Something that I should be doing soon too. Really have to get busy and make some more cards. I almost forgot about this one found it in my bag when I was looking for a piece of paper. She's from Sarah Kay I'm not sure which Christmas collection. I've coloured her with copics and added flocked fur trim and Smooth spray to her coat.Paper is Basic Grey Wassail still one of my favorite's for red and green Christmas cards.

A Little Penny Black this weekend to get everyone into the Christmas spirit now that our first snowfall has come and gone. I made this card at our Crazy Croppers Christmas Retreat last weekend. We had such a great time Leanne always organizes such a great weekend, the only sad part is when it ends.

For this card I used the PB clear set Christmas Everyday featuring this cute little Teddy and some new paper from Little Yellow Bicycle's Wonder & Wishes Christmas line.

BoBunny Snowy Serenade Layout

Well this layout is a little step back in time to an older paper release from BoBunny but the colours work well with the pics I had and hey it kinda feels good to get rid of a bit of stash too.

BoBunny Snowfall Layouts

Oh! what a surprise when I stopped in at Forget Me Not Scrapbooking on the weekend. Not only did I get to see my friends and pick up a few stamps that I ordered but Tara had just got this new line of paper in from BoBunny. It was love at first sight.I just had to have it!

I brought it home and got straight to work on a few layouts. Its amazing how fast you can turn out a layout when you are truly inspired and your pics work amazingly well with said paper.

Here are my three layouts using the paper choices that I bought. All feature family pics I took last winter trying to get our Christmas photo for 2010.

Of coarse there will be journal ling too, but that will be added later. Can't embarrass the kiddies now can I.

Today is my last time posting as April Guest designer over at Dee dee's so I would like to thank her and her team for allowing me to play with the great images she has provided for me to use. Yeh its Friday I 'm a bit late posting this to my Blog, but I did get its posted on time to Crafting with Dee's Dee's Ispiration blog! For my card I wanted to show you a Easter inspired card. The image and sentiment I've used are from Dee Dee's Digi's Stamp set called All Ears. Arn't these guys the cutest.

The paper that I used is from Basic Grey Capella Collection(one of my favorites) I've added some stickles to it. The flowers are from Ever After, Martha Stewart Border Punch,and Pearls are from Dollarama.

Colouring these guys was super easy only used Copics E02 and E40!

My first Design for Dee Dee's Digi's

This my first design For Dee Dee's Digi's I'm guest designer for the month of April at their Inspiration Blog Crafting with Dee Dee's Digi's. They've got some really cute new designs and some try before you by designs as well. So pop on over for some inspiration, shopping or pick a freebie to start your addiction to digi's.

Here's what I used for for my first card.The rabbit is from Dee Dee's digi set called Just Hopping by and the tree that I've layered behind is from Dee Dee's set called Pick Of The Harvest. The papers I've used are by Close to My Heart and Basic Grey. I've added Prima flowers and some pearls.

The image is coloured with Copics:
E31 E33 E35 E37 E40 E43 E02 E95 R0000 YG11 G99 G82 G85 and B00

I've also added flocking to the bunny and stickles to... well pretty much everything!

A Card And Some Exciting News!

First off I thought I would share a card that I made a while ago using a Stampavie Penny Johnson Design Stamp and some more yummy Stella & Rose paper. Its coloured with Copics and I've added glitter which of course only shows when you see it "live" they should really create some sort of fix for this. LOL!

Now on to my exciting news first off I won the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge yesterday Woohoo! So I get to choose some new digi's to play with from the http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/. Also have to tell you if you've never played over there before these girls are just so welcoming and friendly you really should give it a go!

That's not all that's new though, I've been waiting to tell you for a while now that I've been chosen as guest designer for the month of April for Deedee's Digi's.It's a little scary and a whole lot exciting!

They have an Inspiration Blog here which I'll I will be designing cards for and posting them on Wednesdays in April.

Who's that sneaking under the entry deadline over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday? Oh Yeh that would be me, this one almost got away on me, where does the time go! Wish the camera had done this card justice it looks kind of faded in the pic, but it is actually almost turquoise in real life with a lot of sparkle.Arlana as usual provided a wonderful sketch and do check out the DT creations.

I'm also entering this in Christmas Stampin' all Year Long Challenge you can see right through that(use Vellum) because yes the sentiment is stamped on vellum.
Not the most creative use of vellum but then again me and vellum don't have that great of a relationship LOL!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #143

Its been far to long since I've played over on the PB Saturday Challenge. This week for challenge #143 The theme is "Spring Is Sprung" and since we are having some very spring like weather it was easy to get in the mood for this one!

I havn't used this little guy before, but he sure is cute! I coloured him with Copics and added a little bit of stickles to the edges, flower, & watering can. The white layer under the flowers is made with the MS Heart Border Punch snipped and curled around to made a flower shape!

Sketch Saturday #146

So after a few weeks of doing sketch challenges following the sketch pretty much exactly I decided to try a little more interpretation on this "Sketch Saturday" Sketch for challenge #146. The Template for the egg can be found in this thread.

I really had fun with this card, nice to try something new but am glad that the sketch still shows through. Not much to really say about it the DP is older and I have no idea who made it. I tried to add some interest to the pink flowers as with all of the new flowers out there these tend to be a bit boring but I have so many of these flat looking ones I have to use them up. So I added a few stamens to the centers and it helped a little. Will have to play a bit more to get them right though.

I used an older Stampavie stamp unfortunately I don't remember what it is called or who designed it as I don't have the package anymore. Just Magnolia #96 Anything Goes Plus Glitter

This week the challenge over at Just Magnolia & Hangler&Stangler the challenge was anything goes plus the option of glitter and boy did I add the glitter on this one! I've been finding blue glitter every where after this one its even follewed me to work LOL!

I created the 40 in the background using Photo Shop and cut it out, then added glitter to really make it pop! Tilda is from the last Magnolia release all of the birthday girls in this collection are so cute. The DP is from Wild Asparagus and Basic Grey and the bling and flowers I found at Dollarama!

A Rare Sight From Me! A boys Card

For those that follow my blog you may have noticed that I don't really do that many boys cards, and when I do most of them fall short of being anything close to what I wanted in the first place. This year one of my goals was to create more masculine/boy themed cards so I thought that I would try a Birthday card for my nephew's Birthday.

I don't have very many stamps that really can be used on boy themed cards , so I turned to the world of Digi's and found some really cute freebie Dragons on Dustin Pike's blog. He is an amazingly talented Artist and has more characters than you can possibly imagine! You'll have browse through his blog to find all of the freebies as well as his for sale collections but I promise you will enjoy the journey.

I chose these two images that work great together and coloured them with Copics. The bricks on the castle wall have Chrystal effects on them which doesn't show in the picture, but adds great dimension when you see the card "live". I used minimal embellishments no glitter or bling can you believe it!

Just Magnolia & Hangler #93

This week for the Just Magnolia & Hangler Challenge #93 the lovely and talented Mina has created a wonderful sketch. Here is my take on it.

I have used some older Chatter Box Paper From their scrapbook walls collection. I can't but think of the fun I would have had with this collection if I had made cards when it was released.

This cute little Tilda is coloured with Copics and I just had to add glitter, pearls and lace. I've had these flowers kicking around for awhile and never seemed to have a project that they went with, but boy do they go with this paper! The sentiment is computer generated great option when you don't have a stamp that is quite right for what you want to say.

Using A Border Punch Strip As Edging on a Circle

For those that asked how I used a MS Punch to put a border on a circle here is a little tutorial on it.Its my first try at a tutorial so please bare with me.

Step 1: Punch strip of paper as usual.

Step 2: Trim down to 1/4 inch from the design.

Step 3: Using scissors snip into the design leaving the outer edge intact.

Step 4: Use tacky tape, glue, etc. to fasten strip to back of circle or other shape making sure to keep the same amount of the design peaking over the edge.

Voila! your done!

You can experiment with different punches and shapes, this punch also makes a great edging for hearts.

Christmas card Challenge Week#9

The challenge for week #9 over at Christmas Card Challenges is to use Transparancies. It was the perfect challenge for me to try out a stair step card with a transparent over lay.

I've used a PB stamp and Sentiment Martha stewart snowflake punches & Fence border punch, & lots of stickes and bling because you just can't have a winter card without a little sparkle on it! Just wish it would show in the pic.

I love the airy feeling and the dimension it adds to the card.

This is my entry for Friday Sketchers #139. I really liked the sketch this week and as I'm still moving my craft area I found these papers lying about and decided that instead of filing them away I would create the card that I'd planned on making with this cute little Tilda.

The sailors knot was inspired by a card that I found on April's Blog.She didn't have any instructions but I found some good one's here. The anchor in the corner came from Dollarama in a blue colour and I coloured it Black with Copics( unfortunatly it doesn't show up very well).

I made up the sentiment on the computer, it seems to fit the theme of the card.

This is my entry for Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week. There sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps who have some really cute images, so I thought it would be fitting to try and have my first go with a Digi Stamp so I downloaded their weekly freebie and had a go. I was actually surprised that my printer ink worked for this, but happy because it opens some more creative doors.

I used Fancy Pants papers and coloured the image with Copics.The border Punch is Martha Stewart.

I really like the sketch this week over at Paper Take Weekly Challenge The DT also came up with some really inspiring ideas check it out.

For this card I wanted the Butterfly paper to be a focal point as well as the image so I layered it behind this cute little Tilda and added some glitter to it. The scallop layer is done using a Martha Stewart Border Punch and I really like the feel this little piece of lace adds. The Sentiment is computer generated.

Another Quickie, I used a Imaganinisce Stamp for the image and unfortunately can't find any trace of the paper that I used. I did spice up the paper a little bit with glitter and the image is stamped on off white paper a first for me. The sentiment stamp is so old that the company name has worn off of it but I like the Old fashioned feel it gives the card.

Lacy Magnolia card

This has to be the laciest card I've ever made. I raided my lace stash box and found some perfect odds and ends. I also used my MS Snowflake border punch angled across the Bo Bunny Midnight Frost Paper. This magnolia was a lot of work to colour But I love the details, I added flocking to the trim on her coat. The edges have twinklets on them for a frosty effect, yes I love Twinklets!

Elegant Snowflake Card

I'm entering this for this weeks Christmas card challenge #8 which is no colouring, seems appropriate as it really has no colour at all. Make sure you check out what the dt has done they have some neat ideas!

For this card I used the New Large Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch. You may have noticed that I love Snowflakes so you can imagine how happy I was to find this one at Michaels.

I wanted to make something simple yet elegant to give to people that aren't really into the cutesy cards. I think this does the trick and it was pretty quick too. I used a nesty to cut out the oval and a cuttle bug folder to emboss the paper added some twinklets and a bead cap and voila elegant Christmas card!

I did similar cards last year using different images and these cards are just great when you're in a hurry.The snowflake punch is from Martha Stewart and the paper was embossed with a Cuddle Bug folder.

First off I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season and would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Well the Christmas frenzy is long over and the frantic rush to get year end work done at work is done.So I finally have a little bit more time to concentrate on fun persuits, like blogging and crafting. I've also been trying to move my craft area so that of course takes some time, I thought I would show you over the next week the Christmas cards I missed posting before Christmas.

This was my try at a masculine Christmas card using a Saturday Sketchers design, for a special Uncle of ours. I have to admit it wasn't one of my favourite cards this season but it really wouldn't have been fitting to send him a lacey Magnolia card! I do love the flocking on the bears though and there wasn't much colouring so it was a quick card to make a bonus when your rushing to get things done.

I'm so happy to get my hands on some cute little Hangler images, my friend Lisa was nice enough to stamp for me. I made this just before the retreat but got the flu so was not feeling like posting until now. Its always fun to play with something new.

I wanted this card to have a folk artsy feel and think the bit of distressing and the jute help pull this off.I followed an older Mojo Monday sketch. I've really been having some creative fun with them lately even though I've not been able to get them done in time to post them for their challenges.

This week the challenge at Just Magnolia Week#81 was to use the lovely sketch Donalda made. It was a bit of a challenge for me to use as I am a very linear person and don't usually use a lot of angles on my cards, but that's why they call it a challenge right.

I used the new Midnight Frost paper collection from Bo Bunny and this cute little Magnolia Snowman. He's very glittery although it doesn't really show in the picture.

Thought I'd have a go at the Friday Sketchers Challenge #128 this week as I loved the sketch. This is the first time that I've tried the paper piecing technique. My friend Debbie uses this technique with great results, but man I found it really time consuming (do like the results though.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge week #127

This week the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for Week #127 was the theme All my Favorite things. I chose my winter time favorite Snowflakes, just can never have to many different kinds. Here's what I came up with I used an new Penny Black Stamp my friend Debbie let me stamp at crop night a couple of weeks ago. This cutie is just so cheery looking and fun to work with.

I spent a long time looking around the web for the perfect poem to put on the inside but came up with nothing that was quite what I wanted to say. I ended up writing this myself a little scary but I think it turned out quite fitting.

This is the card I made last weekend using the sketch from CCT.Unfortunately I haven't been able to post it until now because I tweaked my back at work on Monday and Couldn't manage to sit comfortably at the computer long enough to post it. Fortunately a few trips to the massage Therapist has done amazing things and I can now sit! I'm hoping I might even be able to sit long enough to make a card this weekend.

I used Basic Grey Wassail papers and a stamp from Stampavie from the Gillian Roberts Collection. I used a Martha Stewart Border and corner punch set to make the snowflake Border.

Tilda has gone Skiing!

This is my weekend project. I thought I'd have a little fun with skiing Tilda and a couple of my background stamps to create a cute little winter scene in the form of a stair step card. I just love creating scenes for my cards. I think its my favourite technique although the colouring takes a long time, its so worth it.

I used so many copics for this that it would take way to long to list although I have a new idea on how to show them which I will try next post.

Magnolia With Lantern Card#2

No gremlins in the camera tonight so I can finally post this.

For this card I used the sketch from last weeks Mojo Monday. Its to late to enter of course but I really wanted to try it anyway. I used a different size than I normally use for this card(5x7) its getting so hard to find envelopes for the square cards and this size seems to work well for the Magnolia's so I will be making more.

It also uses more of the traditional Christmas colours which I don't normally work with but I like it. Copic reds are a little more difficult to work with and get the highlights right, but I'm learning a little more each time I do.

Tilda With Lantern Easel Card

I've been waiting to play with this image I stamped from a friend for a long time and I've really been having fun with it! This is the first card I made with it, I really like the Melissa Francis DP with it. I had a copic list for it al made out but unfortunatly its up on my desk and hubby is sleeping...

I added lots of snowflakes because as many of you know i just love them and added the sentiment from Penny Black. Hope everybody had a Happy Thanksgiving. I had to save my favorite card from the retreat until last. I just love this stamp! I was so excited when I bought until I stamped it and realized I'd never coloured anything like it before, it was a little intimidating. I think it turned out okay though. PB Birthday Card

Just wanted to show you a Birthday card I made a couple of weeks ago that was a custom ordered card for P's husdand's Birthday.Thanks P it always feels good when someone thinks enough of your work to leave a comment or buy a card! This is a stamp I bought a long time ago but hadn't inked yet, I don't have many stamps that work for masculine cards but think it works okay. Magnolia Christmas Card #3

We've had perfectly awful weather here this weekend, what a good excuse to have a little indoor fun. I started this card at the Scrapbooking Swede Crop on Friday night but didn't have the stamps I needed to finish it there so I finished today.

I wanted to try something different so I cut away some of the front side of the card so that you could see the inside. I like the way it added some dimension.To get the the falling snow on the inside layer I sponged over punched out snow flakes.

Wow I can't believe that summer is almost over and I haven't managed a post the whole time. What a busy, busy summer its been. With horse shows, the garden, Taxi service for the kids and Company, I just haven't found any energy to be creative. I'm just finishing a weeks holiday so thought that I would indulge myself and create a little something with some scraps I found when I cleaned off my scrap booking desk, and it fits quite nicely with the Just Magnolia challenge #69.

I'm sorry that there is no copic list for this one, it was colored a long time ago. The sentiment which I just love is a Cling Stamp from Stampendous.

Well I made it to the weekend. TeeHee mine starts early this week as I'm off to Cloverdale for my daughters first miniature horse show of the season. The weather is finally supposed to be nice and is supposed to last all weekend, yeh!

Had a little fun the other day colouring this very elegant Tilda. Not sure if all of the colours go together but I am still loving this Cappella Paper by Basic Grey. Fairy Wishes

Well I really did it when I coloured this image. I rarely colour an image without knowing what paper I'm going to use it with. I made an exception when I coloured this one, I was so excited to play with this new stamp at our White Lake Retreat that just picked colours I loved. When I got it home wouldn't you quess I couldn't find one piece of paper in my stash that worked with it.

So off to the scrapbook store I went...and I fell in love with Basic Greys new line Capella. I just love it with Magnolias and in particularly the Princess' and Fairies in this collection.

First Christmas card of the year

Had a great crop day this last Saturday with our group of scrappy girls at White Lake(near Salmon Arm). Peggy Tole organized it and brought her store Stamp Paper Glue . I finally managed to get my hands on Bo Bunny's wonderful line of papers called Jazmyne and can't wait to make some cards.

I didn't accamplish much in the way of paper crafting, crops are more a social thing for me. We had a lovely picnic lunch and Peggy made a wonderful Lasagna supper so yummy.

Oh I guess I should mention the card. Its features the Tilda & Edwin Skating stamp with the pond background. Its coloured with copics, I used liquid Pearls for the snow on the trees and rocks. I sprayed Smooch Spritz on the pond to give it an icy sheen, to bad it doesn't show well in the pic. The snowflakes have Twinklets Diamonds Dust on them to make them icy.I also put flocking on the trim of the coats.

Just a little card I came up with last week after I found the coolest paper in the New Magnolia Ink Magazine it was on the reverse side of the template for a bird cut out but I just had to make a card out of it. Its the strip with the blue background and the pink flowers.

Magnolia Mother's Day

First off my appoligies for not being in blog land for quite some time, its going to take a while to get around your wonderful blogs. My husband had some health issues that required surgery and recovery time, but all is good now. I've just been away for a wonderful weekend with the girls and came back all inspired and ready to go again. Thanks for organizing such a relaxing weekend "M".

I just had to use this cutie for a card to my Mom for Mother's Day. The sentiments are from Stampin' Up, Paper is Basic Grey, Flowers are punched with an EK success punch, lace is from Dollarama, got to love all the stuff you can get there for a $1. I used copics to color the image.

Hope everyone had a great Easter! I had a really nice one although it was busy I managed to squeeze in a card for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The challenge this week is checked papers and ribbons etc. and I really had to dig to find this piece of paper. Its an older K&Co. print. Well we made it to the middle of the week again. I'm lucky this week I've managed to get an extra long weekend so my week is over and my weekend starts yeh! It took me a while to get this card together using the sketch for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge and I'm really not sure that it stayed completely true to the sketch. I really like the cheeriness the yellow gives it. I don't usually work with yellows but I might have to have another go cause I think its growing on me.

Just MagnoliaChallenge #47

This week over on Just Magnolia the challenge was to make an easel card. I've never made one before so I thought that I would give it a try.The 3D Flowers I make with the small EK Success flowerpower punch. I tinted the edges with Copic Marker and then shaped them with a stylus before layering them together and sewing a pearl bead in the center. Very fun to try but kind of finicky and time consuming. Hi, happy Monday everyone. Just had to show you another Magnolia card I made last week. I'm starting to feel a little more comfortable with my copics and blond hair.For an added touch on this one I put crystal effects on the hair bow and rose, and stickles on her wings.I also added Vanilla Smooch spray to her dress after masking her face, arms, and stockings. You can't really tell in the picture but it makes her dress look like Satin.

Springy Magnolia B-day card

This is a Magnolia image I colored last week and wasn't going to use as it ended up having a tiny little smudge on its mouth. It was lying there on my desk this weekend and I was working with something else and found paper that went perfectly with it and just couldn't resist using it anyway. I like how it turned out and you can't really see the smudge so I turned it into a b-day card-Thanks for stopping by-Hugs Tania

This week the challenge over on Penny Black Saterday Challenge #92 is spring colours. Perfectly fitting as today is a beautiful spring day, Lovin' it! Okay, So its been a while since I've posted anything and I'am so far behind on blog visits its unbelievable, but I just can't believe how fast time is flying by. How did it get to be almost the middle of March already!

Well I finally got to have a really good play session with my Copics at a Crazy Cropper retreat in Lake Country this last weekend. I have to say I'm really loving them. Here is my first try at a Sarah Kay image. I'm quite happy with it and can't believe its so easy to use them.

I also want to thank Leanne for organizing such a Fab weekend I had a blast!
I Don't have a colour list of Copics that I used for this, sorry, it will be something I have to get used to writing down I quess. Thanks for stopping by, Hugs Tania

I finally get to show you the Valentine that I made as a custom order for a very sweet customer's husband. It sure uplifts your spirit to know someone thinks enough of your work to actually buy it Thank-you! yet again-"P".
I must admit it was a fun card to make.
It features one of my favorite PB Stamps and I love that the papers are masculine.

Found this side step card template on Bevs Sketch Blog it looked like such a great idea I just had to try it. I did change it to fit onto a 6" by 4 1/4" card though. I hauled out another Magnolia image she is just to cute.

Why is it so hard to get back into the creative groove after Christmas? I can't believe its the end of January already. I've definitely taken way to long of break from cards and blogging. Hopefully by posting this I'll be back into the swing of things and get some regular posts happening again. This is my first try at a Magnolia image, its such a cute one, I just had to give it a try! I can't say that I really like the colouring on it, I used water colours and they're just not vivid enough for my liking. So I've decided that I must invest in some Copics. Now I feel like a kid at Christmas having to wait the couple of weeks for them to get here. Must be patient, must be patient...

Happy Near Year everyone! Well this is the last of the Christmas cards I made this last year So I'll have to get busy and start on more for next year. I'm going to try to do one a week so that I have enough for next Christmas. I don't know if I'll be able to keep this resolution but it will be fun to try. I made another card similar to this a while ago but decided to change the layout a little bit to include the sentiment.
